ü The lunar landings and surface explorations were done when the Sun was low, so that the temperatures were quite moderate (~38 °C).

ü Also, the film in the cameras was kept in magazines that provided protection from heat when left in direct sunlight.
ü
üWithout an atmosphere  to conduct heat, the film inside the magazines would take several hours to reach thermal equilibrium with the surrounding thermal environment even if it were left in direct sunlight!
